Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was awarded the Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008 and a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has won several championships, including the K-1 World Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA professional career back in the year 2002 with the victory over Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. Her next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She returned to the ring against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. She left the promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina utilized superior strikes and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the final clinch. Antonina's UFC contract was extended after this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC during The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight with a unanimous decision. She was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina bounced back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, and was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
